Is It True That Chinchilla’s Can’t Touch Liquid?

I was watching crank-yankers and they were saying that chinchilla’s can’t touch liquid cuz it burns their skin is that true?

    NO it is definitely not true. However, you should not get a chinchilla wet. if they do get wet just towel dry them really good and give them a dust bath the next day. Since chinchillas have thick fur they may not dry the whole way to their roots, which can cause damage to their fur. Giving them a dust bath will help so their fur does not get damaged.

    Obviously not! It’s true that chinchillas are extremely susceptable to pnemonia when wet, which is why they use dust baths instead of water ones, but it certainly does not burn their skin.
