How do i get my crested gecko to eat baby food?

Posted July 15th, 2010 by admin

He barely touches it before i have to replace it, but he always eats the crickets i give him. Should i stop crickets and hope he gets hungry enough to move to the crested gecko diet?

You shouldn’t stop the crickets because they are insectivorous in the wild. You should not force him to eat the baby food if he doesn’t want to, try offering him whole fruits (except citrus) because it’s natural and baby food isn’t healthy for him because it’s processed for human babies- not geckos.

You should take him on your hand and dab it on his nose, gecko’s like many lizards will lick anything which in their nose. Baby food is more healthy than natural fruit as most of the sugar is removed.
