I found pictures of myself on a website I’ve never been to. What are my options? Is there any sort of legal action (in my case, threat of legal action) I can take to get them to remove my photo?

Unless the photograph is copyrighted, then you really cannot do anything. I can post anything legally obtained. You can threatened legal action, but unless the intimidation factor works, you are pretty much out of luck.

If it is for a commercial purpose, you can file suit for appropriation of likeness for a commercial purpose.
If the website has your picture advocating something you are against, you can sue for False Light.
There are several other privacy torts that you may sue upon, depending upon the circumstances.
    Good luck.

First I would send them a Demand letter , certified, to remove your photo within a certain amount of time, and state in letter that they did this without your permission before I did anything. However if that photo was taken by the person who put it on that website, then that photo is the property of that person. You might want to contact a lawyer and ask about your options.
